The best resource for consumers using contractors is the Contractors State License Board, www.cslb.ca.gov. The CSLB operates under the Department of Consumer Affairs for California. Its purpose is to protect you. Their website has a ton of useful and easy-to-understand information. Check it out: www.cslb.ca.gov

To We have two ways to find local contractors. Our Online Membership Directory is your best bet. Our Virtual Plan Room also has an extensive list of contractors. This directory is available to members who subscribe to our Virtual Plan Room. For information on how to subscribe to the Virtual Plan Room, members should call the VCE at 530-343-1981 and out-of-area contractors should call CalBX toll free at 844-992-2529
