Landscape Crew Member

Responsible for following written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients, executing assigned tasks such as pruning, trimming, weed abatement, blowing, litter removal, fertilizer application, herbicide application, raking, digging, small irrigation repairs and operating machinery and power tools working as a team with fellow crew members.

Proper plant winterization

1. Must be able to physically perform the basic operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

2. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

3. Must possess the visual acuity to operate equipment, perform tasks, inspect the work, as well as review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.

Climate- Conditions primarily consist of working outdoors with potential exposure to extreme heat, cold, allergens and insects is possible. Hours- Basic hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

1. Prunes and trims plants and shrubs.

2. Mows and edges lawns.

3. Remove leaves and weeds.

4. Performs minor field repairs and maintenance to equipment.

5. Applies fertilizer, pre-emergent, and Herbicide.

1. Installs new plants and trees as directed the crew leader.

2. Preforms minor tree pruning and branch removal.

3. Installs and maintains seasonal color beds.

4. Operates irrigation systems and controllers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 – $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
