WHAT IS HANDS-ON TOOLS MOBILE CONSTRUCTION TRAINING?
- MCT is a Ford F-250 with a lumber rack pulling a’ trailer decked out as a mobile classroom filled with construction materials and tools to build while we train. We will recruit and train the potential workforce in basic construction skills and safety while repairing or building community projects, assisting volunteer build organizations, or for someone in need within the Camp or other fire burn scars. Empower, rebuild, upskill!
- HOT MCT Introduces youth to a multitude of construction careers and teaches basic construction skills and safety while building. We work with middle and high school students through local schools, recreation districts, and youth organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club.
- Strives to recruit new workers to the industry, by traveling to the remote areas of the Camp Fire burn scar and certifying those that are able in NCCER Core Curriculum and empowering the community through building while improving the community or constructing for those in need.
- We will upskill the current workforce by putting hands on tools and teaching industry defined entry level skills in concrete finishing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Offers local and accessible safety training to North State contractors.
- Increased employment opportunities in the construction industry helps to restore the economy by rebuilding affected communities across the North State!
