Excavation & Trenching, Competent Person

Why should you attend?  If you are involved in or exposed to excavation activities you should attend this class.

Cal/OSHA regulations mandate that every professional excavation project have a trained “competent person” in direct control of the project. Research indicates that the fatality rate for excavation work is 112% higher than the rate for general construction. Past reports put the death rate from trench collapse at an average of 2 per week in the US alone.

Upon Completion of this training, participants will understand the duties and importance of a competent person as well as the knowledge, skills and documentation required of the competent person during excavation activities
