It’s that time of year again! The 2023 VCE Scholarship Program Applications are now available. We have three programs available, so there is something for everyone! Be sure to let the qualified applicants in your life know about this great opportunity. The VCE is proud to help the next generation realize their dreams, whether it be in the construction industry or another field.
COLLEGE APPLICATION: The Valley Contractors Exchange (VCE) is pleased to offer scholarships to students pursuing careers in the construction industry. Requirements are modest: major in a construction-related field, complete 48 total units and 12 in your chosen field by the end of the Spring 2022 semester, have a 3.0 GPA and enrollment in Fall 2023 classes. COLLEGE-BOUND HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS: This program is open to graduating seniors whose parent/guardian is an owner or employee of member firms in good standing. A written recommendation from the owner or a key-employee must be submitted with the application. Scholarship awards are available for high school seniors entering a university, college, community college or trade school within 1 academic year of graduation. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 over the last three years of high school. Click here to read more and download the application.
LAMON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: The Valley Contractors Exchange (VCE) is pleased to recognize one of our founding companies by providing the $1,000 Lamon Memorial Scholarship Award. Lamon Construction Co. is a well-known Yuba/Sutter company. The award is open to students who meet the following criteria: College junior and above pursuing a construction-related career; Resident of Yuba or Sutter County; GPA of 3.0 with 48 cumulative units completed and at least 12 of those in a chosen construction-related field by the end of the Spring 2022 semester; Enrollment in the Fall 2022 semester.
