We are looking for a thorough Construction Estimator to calculate possible costs and gains of construction projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numbers and analytical presentations. You must have great attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The goal is to provide the company with accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning. We are looking for a detail-oriented construction estimator to advise on the foreseeable cost of each of our major developments. To this end, the construction estimator should obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and secure favorable prices on all resources. To ensure success as a construction estimator, you should be able to translate project requirements into concrete figures with ease. The position of construction estimator will adhere to financial constraints without compromising on our high standards. Responsibilities

• Developing estimates and bids for construction projects.

• Completing take-offs to gather information for bids.

• Reading plans and specifications.

• Understanding and navigating building codes.

• Reviewing sites and gathering information for estimates for new work.

• Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
• Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes
• Foster relationships with DADCO Customers
• Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
• Deciding on the most appropriate human and material resources for each project.
• Negotiating with service providers to secure better prices.
• Outlining the work plan to gauge how much time will be needed to complete each development.
• Performing risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan.
• Drafting proposals that detail envisaged materials, costs, and time frames.
• Meeting with clients to discuss their thoughts and concerns about our offers.

  Requirements and skills

• Strong math skills including basic arithmetic, algebra and geometry.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Strong typing skills.

• Knowledge of building code.
• Ability to read and navigate plans and specifications.
• Proven experience as construction estimator

• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
• Comfortable with numbers and technology
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Well-organized and reliable
• Qualification in project management is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience as a construction estimator.
